Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is now at a moderate-to-low level. Target region NOAA 13413 has now rotated over the North West limb. Following the last message NOAA 13413 only produced low C-class flares. Newly-numbered NOAA region 13421 (a beta/B-type sunspot group) has emerged new flux to form several spots through the period, becoming the most flare-productive region on disk. At this time we end the MM#003 Major Flare Watch, with the target changing to NOAA 13421. Additional C-class flares are expected over the following 24-hour period, with a small chance for a low M-class flare.
The position of NOAA 13421 on 4-Sep-2023 at 18:00 UT is:
N15E04 , ( -66", 129" )
