Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a low level since the last message. The largest event in the past 24 hours was a C8.7 flare at 10:36 UT today (12/13) from behind the Southwest limb, from the target region NOAA 14296. This region has been the main source of flare activity in the past 24 hours, but now all the sunspots of NOAA 14296 have rotated behind the limb.
NOAA 14307 is a region emerged on 12/10 at the latitude of 12 degrees in the Southern hemisphere. This region consists of small sunspots with mixed polarity, currently classified as a beta-gamma type. NOAA 14307 produced 3 low-C class flares in the past 24 hours. Today we will switch the default target to NOAA 14307, expecting additional C class events.
The position of the target in NOAA 14307 on 13-December-2025 at 17:30 UT is: S13W15 (260", -213").
