Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased since the last message. NOAA 13590 produced an X1.8 flare at 22:52 UT yesterday and an additional X1.7 flare at 06:17 UT today. NOAA 13590 has increased in complexity and is now classified as a beta-gamma-delta type region. This region continues to show signs of significant flux and has a substantial area of 740 μh. At this time we are implementing a Major Flare Watch with NOAA 13590 as the target region. Further >M5 activity is expected over the next 24-48 hours .
The position of NOAA 13590 on 22-Feb-2024 at 08:30 UT is:
N17E33, (-506",378")
