Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at an intermediate level. Target region NOAA 13474 is still experiencing the emergence of new magnetic fluxes and retains a beta-gamma/D-type sunspot group, with the largest spot area on the disk. This region continued being the source of low-C flares since the last message, but the largest event in the period was a C5.7 flare at 00:10 UT today from NOAA 13473 (N16E13, beta-gamma/D-type) composed of small pores. The target shall continue as NOAA 13474 due to its higher spot maturity and past flaring history. Further C-class flares are expected in the following 24-hour period.
The position of NOAA 13474 on 31-Oct-2023 at 12:30 UT is:
S18W09 (144", -370")
