Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has decreased slightly since the last message. NOAA 14246 (N22W63) remains in a beta-gamma-delta configuration and is still the most flare-productive region on the visible disk. It produced a number of C-class flares and four low-M-class flares during the period, including the largest event, an M2.7 at 21:55 UT yesterday (see the SSW Latest Events entry https://www.lmsal.com/solarsoft/latest_events/#AR_4246_Eruptive_M2.7_and_M2.4_NW_Quadrant_early_Rise_Phase_includes_a_couple_bump_Mid_C_level_prior_to_M2.7_,_a_repeated_AR_4246_theme). We are maintaining the Major Flare Watch on 14246 for another 24 hours. Additional C-class and low-M-class activity is expected, with a chance of a major flare (≥M5) in the next 24 hours.
