Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has declined to a low level. The largest event since the last message was a C2.8 flare at 23:25 UT yesterday(4/6) produced by the target region NOAA 14409. Although this region is almost the only source of the flares in the period, NOAA 14409 has reduced magnetic complexity to a beta type and is losing sunspots in the trailing area.
Today we will end the Major Flare Watch campaign but continue to observe NOAA 14409 as the default target. Additional high-B to C class events are expected from the area of leading sunspots.
The position of the target in NOAA 14409 on 6-April-2026 at 16:00 UT is: N00W41 (630", 87").
