Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity persists at a low level. A small number of flares were produced in the last 24 hours, the largest being an M1.1 at 11:05 UT today from NOAA 13987 (in close proximity to NOAA 13992). NOAA 13990 and NOAA 13992 have been most active since the last message and both are classified as beta-gamma regions. However, NOAA 13992 has shown much more sunspot activity compared to NOAA 13990. Given this, NOAA 13992 will now be the new target region. Additional C-class activity is expected with a slight chance for an isolated low M-class flare in the next 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 13992 on 13-February-2025 at 12:30 UT is:
S06W18, (299", 7") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
