Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has slightly increased since the last message. The largest event was an M1.0 flare at 22:29 UT yesterday from the target region NOAA 13947 (N13W42, beta-gamma /D-type). Today, the target shall remain NOAA 13947. Besides, a northeast limb region (currently unnumbered, N05E24) produced three low C-class flares. Further C-class activity is expected, with a chance for another isolated low M-class flare in the next 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 13947 on 11-Jan-2025 at 08:30 UT is:
N13W42 (637",271")

A correction: The approximate position of the northeast limb region is N18E88, not N05E24. Sorry about this. The following is the corrected message.
