Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is moderate-to-low. Target region NOAA 13256 has rotated just over the North West limb and was classified as a beta/C-type sunspot group at the start of the UT day (but the classifications will have been severely impacted by foreshortening effects so close to the limb). NOAA 13256 has continued to produce C-class flares since the last message, while the largest magnitude flare in the period (a C4.4 on 31-Mar-2023 at 09:02 UT) came from the limb-exiting location of NOAA 13260. The current MM#003 Major Flare Watch on NOAA 13256 will continue for a further 24 hours as its high-lying loops remain in Earth-view. More C-class flares are expected over the following 24-hour period with a small chance for another >M5 flare.
The position of NOAA 13256 on 31-Mar-2023 at 15:30 UT is:
S22W90 , ( 890", -357" )
