MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar flare activity is low. NOAA 1139 (S27W84) produced a B2.5 event at 01/08/09:23 UT. Target region 1142 (S14W55) continues to decay. We'll switch to new target NOAA 1140. 1140 has an unusual E-W magnetic inversion line with small positive polarity trailer spots located north of its large negative polarity leader sunspot. Solar flare activity is expected to remain at a low level. A B-class event is possible today.
The position of NOAA 1140 on January 8 at 17:30 UT is: N33W34 (Solar X = 458", Solar Y = 577")
