Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a moderate-to-low level. The largest event since the last message was an M3.8 flare at 21:12 UT on 22-Sep-2024 from NOAA 13835. This region emerged yesterday and has been classified as a beta/D-type sunspot group. 13835 shall become the new target. Yesterday’s target NOAA 13831 only produced a C3.7 flare at 13:18 UT on 22-Sep-2024. Besides, the other three low-C flares are produced by two active regions (NOAA 13828 and 13825) and an unnumbered region from the South East limb (S16E87). More C-class flares are expected, with M-class activity likely in the following 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13835 on 23-Sep-2024 at 11:30 UT is:
S22E56 (-736", -416")
