Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at a low level. A small number of events were produced over the last 24 hours, the largest being a C1.1 flare at 12:10 UT yesterday from an unnumbered active region in the southeastern quadrant, close to the disk centre. The target region has continued to produce a small number of additional partially-occulted flares since the last message. The target region will remain as the region located over the southeastern limb as it continues to progress onto the disk. Further C-class activity is expected in the next 24 hours.
The approximate position of the Target Region on 17-February-2026 at 12:30 UT is:
S06E80, (-950", -80") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
