Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased to a moderate level since the last message. The target region has been numbered as NOAA 13928 and 13927 (S08E54, beta/D-type). 13928 was the most productive region and produced two low-M and a dozen C-class flares, with the largest being an M3.8 flare at 15:27 UT yesterday. It has been classified as a beta/D-type magnetic configuration. Today the target shall continue as 13928 (with NOAA 13927 in the field of view). Note that NOAA 13924 (beta-gamma/E-type, S18W83) was also the source of an M1.7 flare at 10:21 yesterday. Further C-class activity is expected, with a good chance for another low-M flare in the following 24 hours.
The position of NOAA13928 on 20-Dec-2024 at 01:30 UT is:
S15E65 (-800", -250")
