Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has decreased to a moderate level since the last message. The largest event during the period was an M1.0 flare at 22:54 UT yesterday from the target region NOAA 14409 (N02W22). This region also produced more than ten C-class flares in the period. 14409 retains a beta-gamma magnetic configuration, and its leading sunspots continue to show signs of flux emergence and dynamic motions. Today, we will continue the Major Flare Watch campaign for NOAA 14409 for another 24 hours. Further C-class activity is expected, with a chance of additional low-M flares and an isolated >M5 flare within the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14409 on 5-Apr-2026 at 11:30 UT is:
N02W22 (360”,131”)
