Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has continued at an intermediate level since the last message. Numerous flares were produced from NOAA 13981 including several M-class flares, the largest being an M4.7 at 11:09 UT today. NOAA 13981 continues to show significant flux and high flare production rate. The Major Flare Watch will remain active with NOAA 13981 as the target region. Further M-class activity is likely with a chance for additional >M5.0 flares in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13981 on 04-February-2025 at 12:30 UT is:
N05E02, (-33", 190") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
