Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues to be at a low level. The largest event since the last message was a C6.2 flare at 15:15 UT yesterday produced by a newly numbered limb region, NOAA 13962. 13962 also produced three ~C2 flares during the period. Due to its activity history, 13962 will become today's target, though it was only designated as an alpha/H-type configuration. Also note that another region NOAA 13961 (S09E65, beta/D-type) was the source of four low C-class flares. Additional C-class activities are expected in the next 24-hour period.
The position of NOAA 13962 on January 15 at 08:30 UT is: N17E77 (-909", 301")
