Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has continued at a moderate level since the last message. The largest event was an M1.9 flare at 19:53 UT yesterday from the unnumbered region near the southeast limb. This region mentioned yesterday also produced 14 flares and has been the most productive during the period. Today, the target shall switch to this limb region from NOAA 14191. Yesterday’s target 14191 (alpha/H-type, N10E31) was the source of three flares, including a C9.1 at 19:01 UT yesterday. Note that a northeast limb region (unnumbered yet, N04E89) also produced an M1.3 at 08:26 UT today and two C-class flares. Further C-class activity is expected with a chance of additional low-M flares from various regions in the next 24 hours.
The approximate position of the target on 24-Aug-2025 at 11:30 UT is:
S19E79 (-850", -350")
