Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has declined to a low level since the last message. The largest event in the past 24 hours was a C5.7 flare from NOAA 14007 in the Southeast quadrant. NOAA 14006 in the Northeast quadrant significantly increased its area and magnetic complexity yesterday but showing no flare record during the recent 24 hours.
The target region, NOAA 13998 has slightly decreased its area and number of sunspots, but continues to interact with the trailing area of NOAA 13996, having produced two low-to-mid C class flares. We will continue to observe NOAA 13998 at the region of leading (negative) sunspot, expecting additional C to low-M class events.
The position of the target in NOAA 13998 on 26-February-2025 at 16:30 UT is: S12W65 (861", -165").
