Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has continued at a low level. NOAA 13981 was the site of several partially occulted flares, the largest being an M1.6 at 05:22 UT today. NOAA 13981 is almost fully beyond the northwest limb. New active regions appear to be rotating onto the disk from the northeast and southeast limb, although they have shown little activity. At present the target region shall remain around NOAA 13981 and the northwestern limb in an effort to catch further partially occulted events. Additional C-class flares are expected.
The approximate position of NOAA 13981 on 11-February-2025 at 12:30 UT is:
N07W91, (964", 115") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
