Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a moderate level. Several flares were produced over the last 24 hours, the largest being an M1.7 from NOAA 13777 at 19:57 UT yesterday. NOAA 13780 remains classified as a beta-gamma-delta and has a significant area of 1100 μh, although the number of associated sunspots has decreased substantially since the last message. This region also shows sustained sunspot dynamism. The Major Flare Watch will remain effective with NOAA 13780 as the target region. Further C- and M-class activity is expected, with a slight chance for an isolated >M5 event in the next 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 13780 on 12-Aug-2024 at 11:30 UT is:
S11W27, (423",-274")
