Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been still at a moderate level since the last message. The largest event was an M2.3 flare at 14:49 UT yesterday produced by the target region NOAA 13883. This region also produced an M1.5 at 02:53 UT today plus six C-class flares. 13883 has been classified as a beta-gamma-delta/F-type magnetic configuration, with some consolidation of its main spots. Today the Major Flare Watch shall continue as NOAA 13883. Yesterday’s limb region has been numbered as NOAA 13889 (S10E59, beta-delta/E-type), only a source of several ~C5 flares over the period. Additional low-M activities are probable, with an isolated above-M5 flare likely in the coming 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13883 on 8-Nov-2024 at 12:30 UT is:
S07W14 (233", -176")
