Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has dropped to a low level. The largest event since the last message was a partially occulted C4.5 flare at 01:22 UT today from the target region NOAA 13917. This region also produced five low-C flares and it has almost rotated beyond the South West limb, with its looptops visible in the EUV channel. Today the target shall remain at NOAA 13917 for the last 24 hours. Besides, some other regions (NOAAs 13924, 13922, 13925) also produced a few low-C flares. More C-class activity is expected, with a high-C flare probable in the coming 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13917 on 17-Dec-2024 at 12:30 UT is:
S07W91 (967", -119")
