Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has returned to intermediate levels since the X-class flare yesterday. There has been C-level activity from NOAA 13242 and an isolated M1.0 flare from NOAA 13243. NOAA 13234 is now just beyond the northwest limb but its dynamic loop system remains visible in EUV images. Major Flare Watch shall remain in effect for a further 24 hours due to the possibility of an occulted >M5 flare from NOAA 13234.
The position of NOAA 13234 on 4-Mar-2023 at 08:30 UT is:
N25W81, ( 866", 422" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
