Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is moderate. Target region NOAA 13576 grew slightly in terms of sunspot area since the last message while merging some spots. This region continues as a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot group classification. NOAA 13576 again produced several C-class flares in the period, along with an M1.2 flare on 9-Feb-2024 at 17:54 UT and an M1.5 flare on 10-Feb-2024 at 00:42 UT, respectively. A region that is currently beyond the South East limb was the source of the largest magnitude flare in the period, an M3.4 flare on 10-Feb-2024 at 03:04 UT. NOAA 13576 will remain as the default target until more information is available on the new region after it rotates over the South East limb. Further C-class flares are expected in the next 24 hours, with a chance for more M-class flares.
The position of NOAA 13576 on 10-Feb-2024 at 20:30 UT is:
S16W07 , ( 114", -160" )
