Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at an intermediate-low level. The largest flare produced in the last 24 hours was an occulted M2.7 from a currently unnumbered active region over the northeast limb at 07:52 UT today. This region currently shows signs of large flux in short wavelength emission. Given that NOAA 13961 has almost passed beyond the southwest limb and given the additional activity at the northeast limb, the target region will switch to the northeast limb. Further C-class is likely with a chance for additional (partially occulted) M-class flares.
The approximate position of the target region on 27-January-2025 at 11:30 UT is:
N10E88, (-944", 166")
