Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is low. The target region was remained unnumbered at the beginning of the UT day and with rotating further on disk shows small spots/pores in its trailing polarity flux. NOAA 12843 has increased in activity since the last message even though it has remained classified as an alpha/A-type sunspot group, being the source of several B-class and two C-class flares (including the largest of the period, a C1.7 on 16-Jul-2021 at 08:27 UT). 12843 returns to being the target region due to the increase in flaring frequency and magnitude. Additional low C-class flares are possible over the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 12843 on 16-Jul-2021 at 20:00 UT is:
S17W67 , ( 832", -303" )
