Dear Collaborators,
An X1.5 flare was produced by the target region 14405 (S27E37, see the SSW Latest Events entry https://www.lmsal.com/solarsoft/latest_events/#Eruptive_X1.5_AR_4405_S25E45_Large_Dimming_Volume_EUVCME_signatures_Sigmoidal) at 02:47 UT today. This region retains a beta-gamma/E-type magnetic configuration. At this time, we will implement a Major Flare Watch campaign with NOAA 14405. Further C-class activity is expected, with a chance for >M5 flares in the next 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 14405 on 30-Mar-2026 at 11:30 UT is:
S27E37 (-516",-355")
