Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has dropped to a high-M level. The two largest events since the last message were an M6.7 flare at 11:15 UT yesterday and an M7.2 flare at 06:43 UT today, produced by the target region NOAA 14366. This region has retained a beta-gamma-delta/E-type and continued to increase in area to 730 μh, developing substantial new spots. More low-M activity is expected, with a good chance for another >M5 flare in the following 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14366 on 3-Feb-2026 12:30 UT is:
N14E14 (-229", 334")
