Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has remained at a persistent low level. The largest flare of the last 24 hours was an M1.8 from NOAA 13990 at 20:45 UT yesterday. NOAA 13992 has shown considerable decay since the last message, where NOAA 13990 has continued to produce a small number of flares. Additionally, a cluster of flares was produced from currently unnumbered active regions close to the eastern limb. The target region will switch to NOAA 13990 as this shows more sign of continued flare production. This region is currently classified as a beta-gamma region. C-class activity is expected in the next 24 hours with the additional chance for isolated low M-class flares.
The position of NOAA 13990 on 15-February-2025 at 16:30 UT is:
S10E03, (-50", -53") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
