Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a very low level. Target region NOAA 13068 has continued to decay over the past 24 hours, and is now being classified as a beta/D-type sunspot group. This region produced B-class activity only. The new spot region to the south of NOAA 13072 has now been numbered as NOAA 13073 and is designated as a beta/C-type sunspot group, but has remained flare quiet since the last message. NOAA 13068 will continue as the target for a further 24 hours. B-class flares are expected in the following 24-hour period, with a good chance for a C-class flare.
The position of NOAA 13068 on 6-Aug-2022 at 13:00 UT is:
S15W59 , ( 786", -294" )
