MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The east limb target region is now rotating onto the visible disk. After producing a series of C-class events yesterday, it has been quiescent. The background x-ray flux is currently at a steady B5 level. The region is still too close to the limb to ascertain its magnetic configuration. C-class activity is possible with a slight chance of an isolated M-class event in the next 24 hour period.
The approximate position of the target on October 18 at 13:00 UT is: N07E85 (Solar X = -953", Solar Y = 109")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
