Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a very low level. The largest event since the last message was a C2.4 flare at 08/21/23:31 UT produced by a newly emerged region NOAA 13085. 13085 also produced another seven ~C1 flares. It has been designated as a beta/D-type configuration. Today the target will switch to this region. Yesterday's target NOAA 13078 only produced a C2.0 flare and now it has rotated beyond the west limb. Further C-class activities are expected from 13085 in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13085 on August 22 at 07:30 UT is:
N29E12 (-173", 359")
