Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a moderate level. Target region NOAA 13431 has remained stable since the last message, but developed a weak delta to be classified as a beta-delta/D-type sunspot group. This region only produced one C-class flare in the period, while NOAA region 13425 (a beta/E-type) was the source of an M1.9 flare on 12-Sep-2023 at 04:18 UT and 13423 (a beta-gamma/E-type) produced the largest magnitude flare - an M2.6 on 12-Sep-2023 at 06:47 UT. The target switches back to NOAA 13423 because of its return to M-class flaring. Additional C-class flares are expected over the following 24-hour period, with a good chance for further M-class flares.
The position of NOAA 13423 on 12-Sep-2023 at 18:00 UT is:
N16W40 , ( 589", 173" )
