Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low-to-moderate level. NOAA region 11909 has continued to decay, decreasing more in spot area and almost halving in number of spots since the last message. This region has remained classified by NOAA as a beta/D-type sunspot group, but produced the largest event in the past 24 hours - an M1.2 flare on 7-Dec-2013 at 07:17 UT. Further C-class events are likely, with a small chance of another low M-class event in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 11909 on 7-Dec-2013 at 23:00 UT is:
S17W63, ( 828", -285" )
