Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues to be very low since the last message. Several high-B to low-C flares were reported from multiple regions in the past 24 hours, with the largest being a C2.2 flare from NOAA 14088 on the Northwest limb.
The target region, NOAA 14087 produced 2 high-B class flares yesterday (B6.0 at 14:56 UT and B9.7 at 23:11 UT both on 5/17). The sunspots located at its trailing region split up yesterday but the larger portion retains a delta configuration. We will continue to observe this area of NOAA 14087 for the next 24 hours. Additional high-B to low-C events are expected.
The position of the target in NOAA 14087 on 18-May-2025 at 15:00 UT is: N17E08 (-138, 316").
