Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has slightly decreased since the last message. The largest event during the period was an M2.5 flare at 22:18 UT yesterday, produced by the target region NOAA 14048 (S16E33). This region retains a beta-gamma-delta configuration and produced ten additional C-class flares, including a C8.1 flare at 10:39 UT today. Given its magnetic complexity, ongoing flux emergence, and activity history, we will continue to watch this region with a Major Flare Watch campaign for the next 24 hours. Low M-class activity is expected, with a chance of an isolated >M5 flare in the next 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 14048 on 2-Apr-2025 at 11:30 UT is:
S16E33 (-504",-176")
