Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is low. Target region NOAA 13737 has now rotated up to the South West limb so its magnetic classification is unable to be determined. This region produced 4 C-class flares, including the largest magnitude flare in the period - a C9.4 on 5-Jul-2024 at 18:47 UT. NOAA 13729 (a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group) is the most magnetically complex region on the disk and increased in flare productivity through the period along with generating the second largest magnitude flare - a C8.6 on 5-Jul-2024 at 20:03 UT. NOAA 13737 will soon rotate out of Earth-view, so NOAA 13729 becomes the new target. Further C-class activity is expected over the following 24-hour period, with a good chance for a low M-class flare.
