Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has returned to a high level, due to an M9.4 flare at 11:51 UT today produced by NOAA 13889. 13889 retains a beta-gamma-delta/E-type sunspot group and has increased in the spot area to 450 μh. Today the Major Flare Watch shall switch to NOAA 13889 because of its high complexity, and large size, and return to M-class flaring. Yesterday’s target NOAA 13883 (S06W42, beta-gamma-delta/F-type) was flare quiet over the period. Additional low-M activities are probable, with a chance for another >M5 flare in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13889 on 10-Nov-2024 at 12:30 UT is:
S10E31 (-493", -216")
