Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has returned to a very high level in the past 24 hours. The target region NOAA 14366 produced an ~M7 and two X-class flares, including the largest being an X4.2 at 12:02 UT. This region appears to have diminished in the number of spots, after it increased in area to 1100 μh and was classified as a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot group. Today, the Major Flare Watch region will remain with 14366. More M-class activity is expected, with another X-class flare probable in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14366 on 4-Feb-2026 12:30 UT is:
N14W00 (0", 338")
