Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has reached intermediate levels. The largest event since the last message was a C7.9 flare that happened just now (at 11:58 UT) from NOAA 13211. 13211 emerged yesterday and remains a beta/C-type sunspot group today. It increases the sunspot area and number of spots and shows opposite magnetic polarities in its leading portion. Today the target shall switch to this region. Yesterday's limb target (S15E83) has remained quiescent. NOAA 13210 (S17W36) has produced a C1 event, with magnetic signs of decay. Additional high C-class activities are probable in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13211 on 6-Feb-2023 12:30 UT
S17W48 (693", -214")
