Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has reached a high level, due to an M7.1 flare at 13:12 UT yesterday from NOAA 14324. This region been classified as a beta/D-type. Today, we are issuing a Major Flare Watch alert and NOAA 14324 should become the new target. Furthermore, Yesterday’s target NOAA 14325 (S08W01, beta-delta/E-type) also produced multiple C-class flares. Further C-class activity is expected, with the increased possibility of another >M5 flare from these two regions within the next 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 14324 on 1-Jan-2025 08:30 UT is:
N24E06 (-93", 444")
