Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is low. Target NOAA 13196 slowed in its flux emergence shortly after the last message, achieving a beta/D-type sunspot group classification. This region produced three C-class flares in the period, the largest being a C3.6 on 19-Jan-2023 at 19:32 UT. The most flare-productive region was NOAA 13190 with five C-class flares that included the largest magnitude event in the period, a C6.7 flare on 20-Jan-2023 at 01:34 UT. The target now returns to NOAA 13190, which remains classed as a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group. Further C-class activity is expected in the following 24-hour period, with a chance for an isolated M-class flare.
The position of NOAA 13190 on 20-Jan-2023 at 20:00 UT is:
S15W15 , ( 245", -172" )
