Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has returned to a moderate level. The largest event since the last message was an M2.8 flare at 19:11 UT yesterday from NOAA 14204 (alpha/A-type, N03E06). Most flares including an M1.3 at 14:00 UT yesterday and an M1.2 at 15:51 UT yesterday were produced by the target region NOAA 14197. 14197 retained a beta-gamma-delta/E-type sunspot group, although it showed signs of decay in spot area to 700 μh. Today, the target shall remain at 14197. Further C-class activity is expected, with additional low-M flares possible in the following 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14197 on 31-Aug-2025 at 11:30 UT is:
S18W17 (265", -400")
