Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low level. A small number of flares were produced in the last 24 hours, the largest being a C3.2 from NOAA 14392 at 00:24 UT today. A new active region has emerged on the solar disk and is numbered as NOAA 14400. This region has a beta-gamma-delta configuration and has demonstrated notable aspects of dynamic sunspot activity since its emergence. The target region will switch to NOAA 14400 for the next 24 hours, with C-class activity expected and potentially more as the region develops.
The position of NOAA 14400 on 23-March-2026 at 12:30 UT is
S12W32, (500", -102") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
