MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The target EFR now numbered NOAA 1928 developed significantly and is currently the most complex region on the visible solar disk displaying a D-type/beta-gamma sunspot group. The largest event since the last message was a C4.0 at 12/17/23:29 UT. Its source was a region on the southeastern limb in the location of returning old NOAA 1913. The region is too close to the limb to ascertain its magnetic configuration.
The position of NOAA 1928 on December 18 at 16:30 UT is: S15W02 (Solar X = 033", Solar Y = -230")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
