Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has reached a high level, due to an M8.9 flare at 11:06 UT today from the target region NOAA 13932. It has developed a delta to be designated as a beta-gamma/E-type magnetic configuration, with a spot area of 480 μh. 13932 shall continue as the target region, but we are issuing a Major Flare Watch alert at this time due to the increased possibility of another
M5 flare within the next 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 13932 on 23-Dec-2024 at 12:30 UT is:
S17E35 (-536",-259")
