Dear Collaborators,
An X1.9 flare was produced by NOAA 14341 at 17:27 UT today (1/18). The flare started from the South of main (negative polarity) sunspots, at the location of the filament adjacent to the Southwesternmost (positive)
sunspot. At this time, we will implement a Major Flare Watch campaign with NOAA 14341. Additional major flares larger than M5 are expected in the next 24 to 48 hours.
The position of the target region in NOAA 14341 on 18-January-2026 at 22:00 UT is: S11E17 (-294", -124").
