Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low-intermediate level and several flares were produced in the last 24 hours. NOAA 13981 was the site of another M7.6 flare at 08:59 UT today. The emerging flux from this region remains high and the dynamic sunspot behaviour continues. The Major Flare Watch will remain active with NOAA 13981 as the target region. Additional C- and M-class activity is likely with a chance for further >M5.0 flares in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13981 on 07-February-2025 at 12:30 UT is:
N08W38, (594", 220") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
