Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has diminished since the last message. The largest event was a C7.9 flare at 14:03 UT yesterday from NOAA 13806 (S12W44, beta-gamma-delta/E-type). Target region NOAA 13807 (S15W91) has now rotated over the South West limb, with some overlying loops visible above the limb. 13807 remained the most flare-productive region in the period, being the source of over ten C-class flares, including three high C-class flares (two C7.8 and one C7.6). At this time, we are ending the Major Flare Watch but NOAA 13807 shall remain the target region, as it rotates fully out of view beyond the South West limb. Additional C-class activity is expected, with a chance of low M-class flares in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13807 on 6-Sep-2024 at 11:30 UT is:
S15W91 (918",-242")
