Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a low level. The largest event since the last message was a C3.1 flare at 01:27 UT today from the target region NOAA 14324. This region has been classified as a beta-delta/D-type sunspot group, but it seems to display magnetic signs of decay. Today, we will extend the Major Flare Watch with NOAA 14324 for the last 24 hours. More low-C activity is expected, with a slight chance for an >M5 flare in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14324 on 3-Jan-2025 12:30 UT is:
N24W22 (335", 445")
